When Chrissy reached out and asked for me to photograph her wedding at Cass, I was so EXCITED!!!! I love Pocahontas County WV so much. I love being involved in tourism and state parks in WV. Cass is such a cool place so I knew we could get some fantastic photos!
Cass is an old town with a railroad through it. It still has the train station, company house, general store, you name it! Jason and Chrissy stayed at the company house.
The ceremony took place by the railroad tracks. Cass is one of the few places I will agree to photograph on tracks, for the sole fact that the trains have a schedule so that it’s 100% safe.
Chrissy’s sister is stationed overseas so they have a cardboard cut-out that has be to TWO weddings now. It was the sweetest thing!
I also had some help from this awesome chick! I WAS her as a kid, so I made sure she was able to get her shots too!
I also had to share some iphone snaps from inside the Cass Company Store. It is ADORABLE. I can’t wait for the ice cream parlor to be opened for seating again. You can still get icecream and milk shakes! You just can’t sit at the bar. The gift shop had some awesome keepsakes and WV souvenirs. They also had a great selection of t-shirts and coffee mugs (which of course I bought).
