I’ve known Courtney since we were in college together. All through those years she was already with Christopher. These two were just so perfect together. Then they had Beniah.
I was so glad to get to do their family photos especially at such a beautiful place in the fall with such colorful leaves. I had mentioned Babcock State Park as an option for family photos and it turned out that her and Christopher went there often when they were dating.
This was the first session that I had brought Jake along with me but he just carried my bags at that point. We hadn’t even discussed him ever taking photos with me. In fact we had just started dating. We started the session out at the rocks in front of the main park office at Babcock. Then we took some with the gristmill in the background of course.
I used to have a rule of never photographing this grist mill. Because I feel like it’s the most over photographed thing in West Virginia LOL. It truly is beautiful though I have to admit that.
After that we moved onto some overlooks on the way out. We had so much fun and this family is so sweet I’m always happy to photograph them. This was just the first time I photographed Beniah. I’ll make a separate blog post of his one year cake smash session we did at Little Beaver State Park.
